Middle Village Market Update

Are you interested in the Middle Village real estate market? Check out this new video and let Bart take you “Back to the Future” to find out about how this year compares to the last!
If you prefer reading to watching here are the numbers. In 2014 we had 139 sales in Middle Village. So far in 2015 there were 104 closings for properties in 11379 zip code. That means we are likely to have a similar amount of sales this year as we did last. Statistic that interests me the most is average price. So, lets look at that. In 2014 the average home in Middle Village sold for $639,000. That number, so far, in 2015 has gone up to $657,000! That is a healthy 3% increase in price. Another stat that I like to look at is DOM, days on the market. And so, last year a typical Middle Village home was on the market for 71 days prior to going into contract and this year that number has done down to only 66 days. Impressive. So to summarize, real estate market in Middle Village is still hot. It favors sellers with low inventory, high buyer demand and record sale prices. So, if you are thinking it might be time to sell… there has not been a better time to do so then now. Contact us for a home valuation today.
